The Ewoldt-Oshiro Family

This week Duncan turned 6 years old. I can hardly believe he is six. Wow, where has the time gone? We decided to have his party on Sunday the 28th before his birthday. His friends and family came and as you can see in the pictures below he got some great gifts. It was a good time even with 6 young kids and 2 teenagers running around the house. Never mind the Grand parents. You know how rowdy they can get. ;-)

Duncan also got himself a present this year. He is very into garbage trucks. We told him he could get a toy one if he worked and saved money to buy one. Great Grandma Ellen sent him Birthday money which was enough when added to what he had saved to buy it. On Saturday Mom took Duncan to the store to see if they had one. It was the last one they had so Duncan wanted it. Mom was worried that if they got this one and somebody got him one for his birthday he would have two. Duncan being a quick witted boy suggested that they buy it and if he got one he would then return the one the bought that day. It was a good plan but the box was open before the end of the day which I think was his plan all along. He didn’t get one so he kept it and even has taken it to school to show all his friends.

Sorry for the delay in this update. It’s been a busy month. The kids and Mom were all sick. Duncan was out of school for 5 days with a bad cold and cough. Mom had it as well and she was down for a couple of days. Eric got it and had to take steroids to prevent his cough from getting bad. Lilly was the finally one to get it and she got an ear infection out of it. I’m the lucky one who didn’t get it at all or if I did I was to busy to notice.

No word on the job change yet. I fly down next Wednesday for an all day interview on Thursday. I may know that day. I have been busy at work. I traveled to LA for the final event of the NHRA (www.NHRA.com) season. I’m producing a game for the PS2 based upon the sport. Its fun I have chatted with most of the drivers and crew. I walked in their pits with the 7 to 8 thousand horse power cars running. That is a rush. You can feel the cars as much as you can hear them even with ear protection.

I’ll try to have another update before the end of the year if nothing else just to let you know if we are moving.

Happy Holidays!
